This programme helps participants understand workplace stress, recognise its causes and effects, and develop practical strategies to manage pressure more effectively. Through self-awareness, resilience-building techniques, and healthy workplace practices, participants will learn how to protect their wellbeing, improve performance, and contribute to a more supportive and productive work environment.
Module 1: Understanding Stress Management
- Understanding stress and its physical, mental and emotional dimensions.
- Differentiating between positive stress (Eustress) and negative stress (Distress).
- Understanding the relationship between pressure, wellbeing and performance.
- Recognising individual perceptions of stress and workplace expectations.
Module 2: Recognising Workplace Stressors and Their Impact
- Identifying internal and external stressors.
- Understanding the causes and effects of work-related stress on individuals and organisations.
- Exploring the impact of absenteeism, presenteeism, disengagement and reduced productivity.
- Raising awareness of Burnout and other impacts and recognising their early warning signs.
- Understanding the relationship between employee expectations and organisational expectations.
Module 3: Taking Responsibility and Building Resilience
- Developing self-awareness through Emotional Intelligence (EI).
- Understanding the Circle of Control: focusing on what we can control, influence and accept.
- Managing emotional triggers and learning not to take situations personally.
- Applying practical techniques, to better manage stress and build resilience.
- Strengthening motivation, engagement and personal accountability.
Module 4: Creating a Healthy and Supportive Workplace
- Applying practical techniques to manage work-related stress, including time management, prioritisation, mindfulness and breathing techniques.
- Promoting effective communication, collaboration and mutual support.
- Creating a psychologically safe work environment that encourages trust, respect and open communication.
- Encouraging healthy workplace practices that contribute to individual wellbeing and sustainable performance.
- Developing a personal action plan to maintain resilience and contribute positively to the workplace.
