World Cancer Day

Every year we celebrate World Cancer Day to raise awareness and act towards prevention, early detection, and treatment.

As a caring employer and having the upright aim of maintaining our deep belief in “BDO Solutions, A Place Where People Matter”, we rolled out our 3Rs programme taking various initiatives to translate our intentions into actions aligning ourselves to the objectives set up by the WHO.

On this glorious path, in which symbolic shadow we stand, is a great beacon light of hope. We collaborated with professionals to carry out breast cancer screening and health checks for our employees in October and November 2022.

World Cancer Day is more than a day on the calendar. In view of raising global awareness the WHO has embarked on a 3-year campaign (as from 2022) named “Close the Care Gap” with specified objectives for each year to build global awareness and ultimately more impact.

Objective of World Cancer Day 2022 Theme: Realizing the problem

The focus was on understanding and recognizing the challenges of cancer care globally.

Objective of World Cancer Day 2023 Theme: Uniting our voices and taking action

The aim is to build stronger alliances and new collaborations to unite the voices of like-minded people to make a powerful appeal.
